10-Minute Spicy Peanut Butter Sauce Noodles
Starving but feeling lazy to get out of the house? This spicy peanut butter sauce noodle recipe is here to save you! Entirely satisfying and delicious, it’s quick and easy to whip up within 10 minutes.
There are days where I don’t feel like:
- doing excessive cooking
- leaving the house
- having instant noodles
I would require a recipe that’s quick and easy to prepare! Who knew peanut butter can truly transform a bowl of noodles into a flavorful dish! And this one is good. Like really good.
Noodles
You can use any kind of noodles you’ll like in this dish! Handmade noodles like ban mian or dan dan noodles would be the best. Rice noodles are egg free so this recipe is safe for vegans or anyone with an egg allergy.
But if you don’t want to make a trip to the supermarket, just use instant noodles or even spaghetti. Simply cook noodles according to package instructions and toss with the sauce.
Peanut sauce
This recipe does not require any special ingredients but you definitely will need creamy peanut butter and it’s the main ingredient! Most households should already have soy sauce at home, so I will assume that no substitution will be required.
- black vinegar can be replaced with rice or white vinegar
- I recommend using Lao Gan Ma’s (老干妈) chilli in oil, you can opt out if you are afraid of spice.
- Add a few more teaspoons of warm water if you think the sauce is too thick.
Serving suggestions
You can have this recipe so many different ways.
- Can be eaten hot or cold
- Garnish with chopped spring onions or fried scallions
- With any veggies, meat, seafood or wanton soup
- I suggest having it with an Ajitsuke Tamago

10-Minute Spicy Peanut Butter Sauce Noodles
Ingredients
- 1 serving noodles of your choice
Sauce
- 4 tsps creamy peanut butter
- 6 tsps warm water
- 2 tsps soy sauce
- 2 tsps black vinegar
- 2 tsps chilli in oil (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Garnish
- Spring onions chopped
- Fried scallions
Instructions
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook noodles according to package instructions.
- Whisk together all ingredients for the peanut sauce.
- Drain noodles and toss in sauce.
- Garnish and serve.
