Ingredients
150gFlour
1.5gYeast
10gSugar
80mlMilk
100gRed bean paste
Instructions
Mix flour, yeast and sugar well together. Pour in milk to combine, keep kneading until dough looks smooth.
Roll dough into a 3cm thick long log. Then flatten dough to about 5 - 6cm wide.
Place 2cm of red bean paste filling on one side of dough. Roll and seal red bean paste filling inside dough.
Cut into 2cm pieces, place on 3cm square baking paper and arrange on steaming tray.
Heat water in a large pot until slightly warm to touch then turn off heat. Place mantous in pot, cover and let proof for 5 to 10 mins. Mantous should have increased in size after proofing.
Cover and steam over high heat for 5 mins. Then turn off heat and leave in pot for another 3 mins.
